Product Description

PurMa™ Kaighn’s Modification of Ham’s F‑12 (F‑12K) is a historically proven, enriched basal medium. This medium was originally formulated for primary cells (e.g., hepatocytes, oocytes) and is now extensively used across many mammalian cell types. Kaighn’s Modification of Ham’s F-12-K Medium is formulated with components absent in older media — including putrescine, thymidine, hypoxanthine, and zinc — and contains higher levels of amino acids, vitamins, inositol, and choline to support growth in low‑serum or serum‑free conditions. It has been shown that Ham F12K is promising in rat and chicken  primary cell culture. F-12K is a modification of Ham’s F‑12 medium.
