What our customers say about PurMa Biologics
Feedback from labs we supply, across our full catalogue.
I recently had the pleasure of interacting with Dr. Seif Azadi from Purma Biologics, and I cannot thank him enough for his expertise and prompt assistance. His deep knowledge and dedication were instrumental in meeting our laboratory’s needs with remarkable efficiency. We ordered FBS, DMEM, and Trypsin from Purma Biologics, and I’m thrilled to report that all the products have performed exceptionally well. They consistently deliver reproducible results, significantly enhancing the reliability of our experiments. Thank you, Team Purma Biologics, for your good products and support!
It’s been a pleasure working with PURMA Biologics. Their service is efficient, delivery is fast, and the quality of their products has met our expectations consistently. Very smooth collaboration overall.
PurMa products are of excellent quality and highly reliable.
I've ordered cell culture media multiple times. Great prices and excellent customer service. The ordering process was smooth, and everything arrived as expected. I'll definitely be purchasing from them again.
We buy all of our cell culture media, fetal bovine sera, and lipid-depleted sera from PurMa. The quality of their reagents is absolutely top-notch, giving us reliable, repeatable results in our experiments. We highly recommend PurMa!
We have been working with PurMa biologics for the past several years, we buy cell culture related media like DMEM F12 and EMEM and Fetal Bovine Serum. We appreciate the high quality and reasonable price, and great customer service.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between the water grades?
Cell culture suited water is purified and tested for endotoxin and cell culture performance. Molecular biology grade water is targeted at nuclease removal. DEPC treated water is specifically treated to inactivate RNases. Choosing on price rather than grade is a common cause of unexplained assay failure.
What is the difference between DEPC treated and non-DEPC water?
DEPC treatment inactivates RNases and is used for RNA work. Non-DEPC nuclease free water reaches the same nuclease free standard without DEPC, which matters because residual DEPC can carboxymethylate RNA and interfere with some downstream enzymatic steps.
Is Ultra-Pure DEPC Treated Nuclease Free Water endotoxin tested?
Yes. Each lot is tested and the result is reported on the Certificate of Analysis. Endotoxin matters even in water, because it survives autoclaving and carries straight through into your culture.
How should it be stored?
Store sealed at room temperature unless the label states otherwise, and avoid repeated opening. Once opened, the practical risk is airborne contamination rather than chemical change, so decant rather than pipetting repeatedly from the stock bottle.
Can I autoclave it myself instead?
Autoclaving sterilises but does not remove endotoxin, nucleases or ionic contaminants, and it will not turn general purpose water into cell culture grade. For culture and molecular work the starting purity is what matters.
