PurMacept™; Lab surface Sanitizer (10X)
Undoubtedly, sterilizing the surfaces of a CO2 incubator, hood floor as well as the bench surfaces prevents the source of most of the contamination in the lab. So, failure to perform appropriate cleaning causes multi-resistant microorganisms in the laboratory. PurMacept™; Lab surface Sanitizer (10X) is the outcome of years of cutting-edge science that successfully eliminates all the common lab contaminants.
Description
Background
Pathogens transported by lab employees are an important source of contamination in cell culture laboratories. Undoubtedly, sterilizing the surfaces of CO2 incubator, hood floor as well as the bench surfaces prevent most of the contaminations. So, failure to perform appropriate cleaning causes multi-resistant microorganisms in the laboratory. PurMacept™; Lab surface Sanitizer (10X) is the outcome of years of cutting-edge science which successfully eliminates all the common lab contaminants.
PurMacept™ and COVID-19
PurMacept™ Removes COVID-19 instantly.
PurMacept™ and common pathogens
PurMacept™ removes the most common pathogens in a cell culture laboratory including bacteria, mold (yeast/fungus), mycoplasma (see below) and viruses.
PurMacept™ and Mycoplasma
More importantly, PurMacept™; Lab surface Sanitizer (10X), has proven for many years to successfully remove all known mycoplasmas. Therefore, we have conducted years of cutting-edge studies to generate a disinfectant that removes all the mycoplasma species. This is because PurMacept™ targets ribosomes of these mycoplasmas, which are conserved among all mycoplasmas. We, however, recommend that if your lab has serious mycoplasma contamination, use our PurMaTM Mycospary (Cat#: P5M010405)

What our customers say about PurMa Biologics
Feedback from labs we supply, across our full catalogue.
PurMa products are of excellent quality and highly reliable.
I've ordered cell culture media multiple times. Great prices and excellent customer service. The ordering process was smooth, and everything arrived as expected. I'll definitely be purchasing from them again.
We buy all of our cell culture media, fetal bovine sera, and lipid-depleted sera from PurMa. The quality of their reagents is absolutely top-notch, giving us reliable, repeatable results in our experiments. We highly recommend PurMa!
We have been working with PurMa biologics for the past several years, we buy cell culture related media like DMEM F12 and EMEM and Fetal Bovine Serum. We appreciate the high quality and reasonable price, and great customer service.
We purchase everything we need related to cell and tissue culture from PurMa, reagents like: DMEM, LL15, EMEM, FBS, trypsin, antibiotics mix100X and... Always great quality, fast processing and shipping. We are totally satisfied.
Very fast, efficient, and economic service. Great for new PIs like me.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between the water grades?
Cell culture suited water is purified and tested for endotoxin and cell culture performance. Molecular biology grade water is targeted at nuclease removal. DEPC treated water is specifically treated to inactivate RNases. Choosing on price rather than grade is a common cause of unexplained assay failure.
What is the difference between DEPC treated and non-DEPC water?
DEPC treatment inactivates RNases and is used for RNA work. Non-DEPC nuclease free water reaches the same nuclease free standard without DEPC, which matters because residual DEPC can carboxymethylate RNA and interfere with some downstream enzymatic steps.
Is PurMacept™; Lab surface Sanitizer (10X) endotoxin tested?
Yes. Each lot is tested and the result is reported on the Certificate of Analysis. Endotoxin matters even in water, because it survives autoclaving and carries straight through into your culture.
How should it be stored?
Store sealed at room temperature unless the label states otherwise, and avoid repeated opening. Once opened, the practical risk is airborne contamination rather than chemical change, so decant rather than pipetting repeatedly from the stock bottle.
Can I autoclave it myself instead?
Autoclaving sterilises but does not remove endotoxin, nucleases or ionic contaminants, and it will not turn general purpose water into cell culture grade. For culture and molecular work the starting purity is what matters.
