Description
Background
Basically, the humid 37°C water in your CO2 incubator creates an excellent environment for growing all types of pathogens. PurMa™ CO2 Incubator Treatment (100X) explicitly has strong antimicrobial and fungicidal properties. Our CO2 Incubator Treatment, effectively, prevents growing cell culture contaminants. The PurMa™ 100X treatment has been particularly evaluated for gram-negative bacteria, mold, yeast, most viruses, protozoa, and all the known mycoplasmas.
Special Features
- Before use, dilute the reagent 100X using cell culture water.
- Moreover, our CO2 Treatment provides a strong antimicrobial and fungicidal reagent.
- PurMa™ CO2 Incubator Treatment is harmless to a wide variety of cell lines including HEK293, COS1, COS9, CHO, NS1, Hybridomas, jurkat, RPE, and primary tumor cells.
- The ingredients do not cause damage to the stainless steel or copper tray, are non-volatile, and extremely effective.
- PurMa™ CO2 Incubator Treatment contains fast-acting biocidal agents with a moderately long duration of action.
- PurMa™ CO2 Incubator Treatment provides an extremely effective solution which will not be compromised by the presence of CO2 gas.
Important Notes
- Before first usage, thaw the bottle in 20 ml aliquots (as needed for two-liter final volumes) and avoid freezing and thawing.
- If the below instruction is followed, PurMa Biologics guarantees NO pathogen growth in your CO2 incubator for four weeks.
- If the product is diluted above the recommended rate, the treatment will be too weak to be effective.
Instruction of Use
- Clean incubator water pan and fill with 1800ml sterile water.
- Mix 20 ml of PurMa™ CO2 Incubator Treatment Solution with 1800ml Cell culture Suited water.
- Replace water inside the incubator every 4 weeks.

What our customers say about PurMa Biologics
Feedback from labs we supply, across our full catalogue.
it is reliable vendor!
We always buy our agarose from PurMa and have never been disappointed.
I recently had the pleasure of interacting with Dr. Seif Azadi from Purma Biologics, and I cannot thank him enough for his expertise and prompt assistance. His deep knowledge and dedication were instrumental in meeting our laboratory’s needs with remarkable efficiency. We ordered FBS, DMEM, and Trypsin from Purma Biologics, and I’m thrilled to report that all the products have performed exceptionally well. They consistently deliver reproducible results, significantly enhancing the reliability of our experiments. Thank you, Team Purma Biologics, for your good products and support!
It’s been a pleasure working with PURMA Biologics. Their service is efficient, delivery is fast, and the quality of their products has met our expectations consistently. Very smooth collaboration overall.
PurMa products are of excellent quality and highly reliable.
I've ordered cell culture media multiple times. Great prices and excellent customer service. The ordering process was smooth, and everything arrived as expected. I'll definitely be purchasing from them again.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between the water grades?
Cell culture suited water is purified and tested for endotoxin and cell culture performance. Molecular biology grade water is targeted at nuclease removal. DEPC treated water is specifically treated to inactivate RNases. Choosing on price rather than grade is a common cause of unexplained assay failure.
What is the difference between DEPC treated and non-DEPC water?
DEPC treatment inactivates RNases and is used for RNA work. Non-DEPC nuclease free water reaches the same nuclease free standard without DEPC, which matters because residual DEPC can carboxymethylate RNA and interfere with some downstream enzymatic steps.
Is CO2 Incubator Treatment (100X) endotoxin tested?
Yes. Each lot is tested and the result is reported on the Certificate of Analysis. Endotoxin matters even in water, because it survives autoclaving and carries straight through into your culture.
How should it be stored?
Store sealed at room temperature unless the label states otherwise, and avoid repeated opening. Once opened, the practical risk is airborne contamination rather than chemical change, so decant rather than pipetting repeatedly from the stock bottle.
Can I autoclave it myself instead?
Autoclaving sterilises but does not remove endotoxin, nucleases or ionic contaminants, and it will not turn general purpose water into cell culture grade. For culture and molecular work the starting purity is what matters.
