Dulbecco’s Modified Eagle’s Medium DMEM high glucose 4.5 g/L is a high‑performance cell culture medium based on the classical Basal Medium Eagle (BME) formulation and optimized for robust, reproducible mammalian cell growth. it is  is one of the most widely used media in cell biology, molecular biology, and biotechnology applications due to its balanced composition of amino acids, vitamins, and salts. High Glucose DMEM for Demanding Cell Lines

PurMa™ Dulbeccos Modified Eagles Medium DMEM is a  Modified version Eagle’s Medium (DMEM ), has more glucose (4.5g/L) compared with  old version which contained 1.0 g/L (1000 mg/L) glucose. PurMa Biologics DMEM culture media is formulated with:

  • High glucose: 4.5 g/L – ideal for metabolically active and fast‑growing cell lines
  • Optional low glucose variant (1.5 g/L, Cat. P3SO28105) – for cells requiring reduced glucose levels or more physiological conditions

Enhanced Nutrient Profile

Compared to the original BME formulation, Dulbecco’s Modified Eagle’s Medium (DMEM) contains approximately fourfold higher concentrations of amino acids and vitamins, making it suitable for a broad range of cell culture applications. PurMa Biologics DMEM supports:

Dulbecco’s Modified Eagle’s Medium DMEM high glucose 4.5 g/L  includes:

A2: No. Dulbecco’s Modified Eagle’s Medium (DMEM) from PurMa Biologics does not contain FBS, proteins, lipids, or growth factors and should be supplemented, typically with 10% FBS or a serum‑free alternative.
